4 years of going nowhere – My journey with CAT

In the past couple of months, I’ve dabbled with a lot of stuff to do on weekends. Standup comedy, Improv, going to Toastmasters, meeting old friends here in Bangalore, going through pickup books and videos, trying to write on my blog, etc. And to be honest I am struggling on all of them. This was not the case until December. My weekends were quite sorted then.

For the uninitiated or any foreign audiences (Yeah, I am optimistic), Common Aptitude test or CAT is an exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management(IIM’s) to select students for their PGDM(or MBA) programmes. They are conducting this exam since 1950 but I’ve been giving this exam since 2015. It’s 2019 now.

Every year when I attend the CAT workshops by any coaching class, they have this constant itch to ask “Who is giving the exam for the first time?” A lot of hands go up. They ask for the students giving the 2nd time. Plenty of hands go up. It gradually decreases until they ask how many are giving it for the 5th time. No one has raised a hand in my 4 years of experience. Needless to say, I’ve raised my hands in all 4 of the instances.

Side note: You know the feeling when the words that are being typed out don’t exactly convey the thoughts and the emotions you are going through at the moment. I am living that feeling right now.

I won’t go into the details as to what I did in the years, how much I scored, what happened in the interviews, etc. That’s all noise now. Its just numbers.

I am more than a number.

I know I can’t just sit here and crib about the interviews or that my Quant prep was not up to the mark. But things didn’t turn out the way I’d expected. There was this thing with the interviews. Especially this year when I went for my MICA interview, I was completely in my head. I thought I’d just impress the interviewers with my perseverance stories and approach to job search. That is a very bad attitude to take to an interview because then I put the control in someone else’s hand and eventually even blame them for not selecting me. Then the interview becomes a means to an end(the selection).

But that’s it. I have decided to follow the path that has worked the best for me. As the intro para said, I am trying all the things that I was afraid to do but was supposed to do. I am also looking for a job as a copywriter in a mainline ad agency and might have to start fresh as an Intern. Not only because it sounds adventurous but because I don’t have any other option.

It’s getting emotional for me now, but this journey has changed me a lot, in hindsight. Getting the motivation to leave Chemical Engg for IT and then leaving IT for Advertising came from the lure of living with people who’ll improve my personality and help me in cracking the interviews (Yes, I had a narrow view of the world, I still do).

In the eyes of the world, I might be a failure in the conventional sense. I mean, c’mon, how many guys that you know of have failed in 1 exam 4 times. Yes, I’ve seen friends from 2015/16 do an MBA and get 15+ lakh “CTC” and supposedly the feeling of making it in life. I’ve also seen friends and acquaintances from 2015/16/17 do an MBA and then get an internship and then ask if they can get a job at the company I am working at right now. People have left the country to make it in the USA while some have left the high rises of Mumbai and found their calling in rural.

I, for one, gathered the courage to say no to my IT job and go where I think I belong to, Advertising.

Wow, I feel a lot better and lighter writing this. I know I’ll be a different person in the coming years with new experiences and meetings but this moment right now and the culmination of all the failures, learnings and occasional rumination on them does make me happy.

The struggle is still there, but as Sahir Ludhianvi wrote,

Gham Aur Khushi Mein Farq Na Mehsoos Ho Jahan
Main Dil Ko Us Muqaam Pe Laata Chala Gaya

Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhaata Chala Gaya
Har Fikar Ko Dhein Mein Udata Chala Gaya

I am still trying to solve the puzzle, but I am loving the fact that I get to work on the puzzle. I know you might not be having the best days of your life right now but hold on to yourself, talk to someone who loves you and if you want, why not show me some love?

How to Automatically save money – An Indian’s guide

automate personal finance india

Note: This answer has been written with my own experience and keeping the Indian reader in mind. But the basic skeleton will remain the same almost everywhere.

Okay, now Not 1 month but 1–2 Days.

I have tried to give you a complete blueprint to automate your finances completely. This way, you won’t have to do the same thing over and over again every month. Instead, what you do in these 2 days will take care for the rest of your life.

But first, understand this.

It’s important(At least that’s what Warren Buffet says) :

DO NOT SAVE WHAT IS LEFT AFTER SPENDING, BUT SPEND WHAT IS LEFT AFTER SAVING.

Essentially, Savings ≠Income — Expense

Instead, Expense = Income — Savings

So, first of all when your salary or whatever your income source comes, distribute it to various channels which will beat Inflation and eventually give you profit.(The best thing money can buy is more money)

Note: I have used only free resources and those which consume the minimum time.I personally follow these steps and you can trust me that it works.

Also, for the sake of calculation and familiarity, i have assumed an example of a guy named Manish, whose age is 25 and earns around ₹25,000. Manish is also a Korean film star with a French accent. And Manish is also the Batman.(2 out of the last 3 statements are false)

how to automate personal finance india

1.) PAY YOUR DEBT/LOANS.

I cannot emphasize it more.

If you have a loan on your head, start paying it immediately.Keeping a blind eye would only hurt you.

Manish has no debt currently and he would also take care about not accumulating debt in the future.

Note: If your First name is Vijay and the last name is Mallya, you can skip this step. You don’t care anyway

2.) Send 15–20% of your salary into a Dummy Savings account

What I mean by a dummy savings account is that make an Account in a bank whose only function would be to store your money monthly, without any fuss.

Now, if things are bouncing around your head, just follow these steps

1.) Download and make an account in Kotak 811/Paytm payments bank(Kotak preferred)

2.) Go to your primary bank account and set up Auto transfer(for ICICI Bank, see this) to your Kotak account. This will ensure that a certain amount transferred every month automatically.

For Manish, he will set up auto-debit and transfer 10–15%(i.e around 3500) into the Kotak account.

Note: If you want to follow a conservative route, start a Recurring Deposit(RD will have minimum lock-in period, Dummy account won’t)

3.) Invest 10–15% in Direct Mutual funds

Now, so you have saved a certain amount risk-free.But then how will you let your money work and beat the Inflation. That’s where Mutual funds or any other Investment scheme comes.

Now, returns will come at a risk, and Mutual funds are a risky business. There are a lot of Mutual funds out there in the Market(and then they have Direct/Regular, Growth/Dividend options) which confuse many.

I would suggest you open an account in Jama/Invezta because they provide Direct Mutual funds i.e. they don’t take a commission from your earnings.

Manish will probably go with Jama because it has a Mobile app and also it’s easier to pronounce. Also, for funds, because age is on his side, he can survive initial losses, and hence he will invest in Small-cap/Mid-cap funds, which although are risky but also have a potential for higher returns.

These are the basic steps which one should take. Also, you have PPF’s, Insurance(Life and health), retirement funds etc.But that is for some other day.

And if you follow this, whatever you have left after savings would be what Ramit Sethi terms as Guilt-free spending.Want to drink that hazelnut coffee, sure.Cheese burst instead of Pan based Pizza, why not!

The bottom line is, you don’t need to spend hours and hours every week to save and invest. Just a few right decisions at the right time(which is now), a little bit of conscious spending, and trust in the system.

And you will be well ahead of most people, financially.

Reliance Jio 4G : The Brilliant Business Plan of Mukesh Ambani

mukesh-jio-reliance-4g-business-plan-money-profit

September 1st 2016 will be remembered as the Day when Reliance Launched its much anticipated Jio 4G  and how it disrupted the Indian telecom market, for the 2nd time. With a hope for building a Powerhouse of Internet connectivity and the Vision of Digital India,Mukesh Ambani has launched, which many call,a ₹15,000 Cr Startup, though it has left many in excitement, awe and uncertainty at the model of Reliance Jio and how will it print profit in the balance sheets.

mukesh-jio-reliance-4g-business-plan-money-profit

And i have tried to explain the whole Reliance Jio system from its roots and answer the questions which many of you may have regarding its service. But first,

The Cell Shock of 2002

What started as a dinner table conversation between Dhirubhai and Mukesh Ambani, converted into a major disruption in the telecom sector.Though not primarily by Reliance telecom, but maybe because of the effect of Reliance, incoming calls were made free which were previously charged very heftily. With a slogan of “Karlo duniya mutthi mein”,Mukesh Ambani spearheaded the whole plan after the demise of Dhirubhai and with a dream of a mobile phone in everyone’s pocket

But then why is Reliance Comm. not a Major player today ?

Because after Dhirubhai Ambani passed away in 2002,there was a major split between Anil and Mukesh Ambani as to who will get what of the gigantic pie named Reliance. The dispute ended in 2005,with Mukesh getting oil and gas, petrochemicals, refining and manufacturing while Anil took reign over electricity, telecoms and financial services. So,Reliance telecom, which was a brainchild of Mukesh Ambani was handed over to Anil along with non-compete between them.

How Jio was created

In June 2010,just after the non-compete was waived off,Mukesh bought around 95% stake in Infotel Broadband Services for Rs 4,800 crore. They renamed it to Jio and charted a plan to roll out an only 4G network.During the 4G spectrum sale it won rights to all the 22 circles, the only company to have a pan india presence.

Then, following what he did prior to 2002,Mukesh Ambani started laying optical fiber connections throughout India. They laid more than 2,50,000 KM’s of Fiber optic cable of 96 – 288 fibers along with 1 lakh 4G Towers[See this].Their cables are ready for 5G and 6G while other companies are still struggling to upgrade from 2G/3G to 4G.

So how will it impact Indian Telecom and especially you

Now,there are many benefits, but the main, and rather unknown of are :

1.) As they have presence in all states and because they have laid their own cables, they don’t need to pay some other company to allocate them space. This results in more freedom to the network which is passed on to the customer. Moreover, they have only 4G cables, hence you will not get reduced speed as you might have faced while using 3G of other networks(but that might mean that where there is no 4G,there is no connection, yikes).

2.) Currently, tough Jio 4G network is available in 40% of India, they plan to lay it out to nearly 70% till their main commercial launch, which is on 1st January 2017,and then to almost entire India by 2018.They surely seem ambitious, but with the manpower and money power they have invested in this project,i don’t think they will lose out in this race because they didn’t have enough towers. So,they will,in my opinion be India’s largest network and billboard featuring them as “India’s largest 4G Network”

3.) Now,not a huge technological impact, but certainly a different approach towards mushrooming the towers..Reliance Jio is erecting Towers which look like trees and hence blend with the surroundings and also don’t harm the aesthetic beauty of the place.

reliance-jio-eco-friendly-green-towers

Okay,that’s fine.But will i get 4G really at ₹50/GB ?

Well, that one thing was a marketing tactic by Reliance Jio,is what i think. If you look at the image below, where all of their plans are shown,

  • The cheapest plan of Rs 149/month gives 300/Month and the next plan gives 4 GB/month for Rs 499,which works out to be roughly Rs 125.
  • Also, the plans which are on the higher end of the spectrum(no pun intended),is at Rs 3999 for 60 GB and Rs 4999 for 75GB,which work out to be nearly Rs 66/GB.So no plan here is offering a GB of 4G at Rs 50.

reliance jio 4G price plan
So,then why did they advertise at Rs 50,if they are not going to provide it.Well,it actually turns out that with the plan of say Rs 499 ,you get 8 GB of free WiFi(they say as JioNet),so it turns out to be 4GB + 8GB,so 12 GB for Rs 499 which is around Rs 42/GB.

The Fineprints

Okay so there are somethings you should keep in mind regarding Jio.

1.) The validity of the packs is 28 days.Which means yo don’t get the 4G for a full month, which is of 30 or 31 days, but only 28 days. And it might not seem as a big deal, but in fact because of those 2-3 days, you end up paying for 13 months in a year instead of 12 months.Think for yourself.

2.) Many people got excited because Jio tariff card mentions night unlimited for all their plans. But turns out the consider the Night from 2AM – 5AM.So,unless you are nocturnal, this free deal will taste bitter to you.

3.) And Jio says that Calls are free.Nope,Voice calls are free.In fact, you cant make a call from Jio 4G.And by that i mean that on 4G when you will call,it wont be a normal call,it will be VoLTE(Voice over LTE).In simpler terms ,now even your normal call will be through Internet, hust like Whatsapp call. So,when you will talk over phone, you will spend data.

But now Jio has clarified that the data used by Voice calls won’t be included in the plan.Hence there is no limit for the data used by Voice call.

Okay,so how will Reliance Jio make money ? What is their Business plan ?

So,finally coming to the question, why is this all so low cost and most things free.It sounds too good to be true right ? Well,it kind of is and isn’t.But to understand that, just think for yourself, how much amount of money do you spend on your phone including call+ data. Now,i don’t know about you,but according to telecom companies data,an average person spends around Rs 150/month on his mobile phone bill.Which means that companies get Rs 15o per customer per month(which technically called as ARPU) So,

Data :  Now again refer the table above and you will notice that the cheapest plan is of Rs 149,so even if you are starting at the smallest plan, you are spending what an average customer is spending today on his phone bill. But that plan obviously wont suffice your needs and you will then look at the second cheapest plan which is of Rs 499(notice the tree fold jump).

So now, instead of you, assuming an average customer, spending around Rs 150,is spending Rs 499 and by this Jio has increased its ARPU,hence more money in their pockets.Of course the benefits which you are getting are also worth the price increase.

Jio Apps : Reliance Jio also has 8 premium applications which you can use along with your free 4G.What’s more, they are free till 1st January 2018.And these apps are supposed to replace apps like Netflix,Hotstar,Spotify, gaana, etc.

But after the completion of the free period i.e. after 1st jan 2018,these apps cost Rs 15000/month.And till then you will be addicted tho them so that you will shell out that money without thinking twice.

Small Plans : They also have rs 19,29 and 129 plans but they are not worth much once you see that they provide much less value,eg. The 129 plan gives just 2GB net and validity is also 21 days. So,this is a psychological trick to make you spend more and hence become a regular paying customer instead of one time recharge customer.

So this is how they will print PROFIT on the balance sheets. And i am not touching their LYF phones and the profits from them as well as the Hotspot service.

And this wraps up the article.I think that this was a very bold move by Reliance but which was needed very much.Indian Telcos were without much competition on the price front and this literally meant that customer had no way to go because all companies had plans offering same data at more or less the same price.

There are still many questions left to be answered as how will they provide customer service, how will they lay out the groundwork for the nation wide network.Sure Reliance did it in 2002 and worked it quite well, but you know what is more difficult than creating history ? Repeating it.

Do write in the comments below what you think of this Ambitious plan of Jio.Will they pull it off in style or will it end it as a Gimmick.I am waiting for your answers.

How Youth can help Rediscover India

Role of youth india devloping

[pullquote align=”normal” cite=”Franklin D. Roosevelt”]We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future. [/pullquote]The strength of any nation is measured by how powerful the youths of that nation are. Youth is the main driving force behind the success story of any country.

The major need for a developing country to rise out from adversity is Manpower which is very scarce currently. Be it industry, agriculture, academics or government divisions, all of these need sound people for the efficient performance of their fields. And only youths are the substitution to these. The world is growing bigger and smaller at the same time. Bigger in context of infrastructural developments, technological advancements, economy rise, space explorations and smaller in context of easy availability of matter, faster accessibility to information, quicker transportation facilities, improved health security. All these things are directly or indirectly connected with the hard work put in by the youth of the particular nation.

Role of youth india devloping

The youths of 21st century are highly advanced in their intellectual as well as subject knowledge. Profound use of internetand social media has made the task even easier as compared to the work methodology of our forefathers. The co-ordination for any particular work, faster communication of ideas and understanding of issues is increased because of similar minds uniting for a single cause and working as a team. The use of technology in the correct way has made a greater impact. The youths get a great exposure of the stuff happening around the globe and that increases their decision making capacity, logical thinking and concern about the fate of their nation. This helps them and the country to make a noteworthy rise in the future to come.

For a human, there are 3 major stages of life- Childhood, Adolescence and Old Age. Majority of the childhood part is spent in growing and learning the basics; the old age is mere a memory movie of the past decades spent during one’s life and when the particular person has no any leftover energy, ideas and desire to do anything. But the most important of all is the Adolescence aka Youth. At that point of time, there is abundance of energy, enthusiasm, ideas, skills, passion and self-confidence. No matter how hard the work maybe, there is always that spark from within which inspires and motivates continuously to strive for excellence and achieve that which is impossible. This is what is needed for the country to move from developing to a developed one.

As a youth, he/she has energy, time and money. 3 out of the 4 necessary things to bring a revolutionary change are available. The 4th one being Wisdom. This one can only be made available by providing them with proper guidance. But, lack of guidance is an urgent issue. Quite a big number of youths are ruining their lives just because no one was available to guide them further or show them the difference between the wrong and right paths. Addictions, wrong company and disregarding the adults turns their fate. If these valuable resources are taken care of can create wonders and result into great victories. Today’s world completely runs on competition. What others have achieved and what we have yet to achieve is all that counts. Under such a scenario, the developing countries have a greater chance of becoming a developed country and thereby create a milestone.

Akhilesh Yadav – New face of Uttar Pradesh (umm.PUTTAR PRADESH)

aspiring developing up akhilesh yadav cartoon 2017
It’s time for the winds of change to blow strong in Uttar Pradesh (UP) – the most crucial electoral state of India. The Samajwadi Party (SP) had a clean sweep in the state, blowing away the Dalit storm of Mayawati and her brigade. Even the suave Rahul Gandhi, the future of Congress empire in India, who had repeatedly campaigned in UP, failed to convince the people with his charms. What finally worked for UP was the political strategy of SP’s grand old man Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Akhilesh, who almost single-handedly scripted the victory for Samajwadi Party. And not quite surprisingly also, on March 10th, his name was announced as the future Chief Minister of UP.

Akhilesh at 38 would be the youngest Chief Minister in the state ever to hold the reins of power. He will be sworn in on March 15th at the La Martiniere school grounds in Lucknow. Little is known of the fact that the political spark in this young leader, born on July 1, 1973, was first noticed by the veteran Communist leader Somnath Chatterjee. Fondly called as Tipu, the CPM leader had long back said that Akhilesh be ‘allowed to be on his own’. And being on his own he never disappointed his father or his party loyalists when Mulayam had handed the party reigns to his son in 2009.

aspiring developing up akhilesh yadav cartoon 2017
An environment engineer from Sydney University, Akhilesh’s favourite pastimes before venturing into politics were movies and football. He also happens to be conscious about his fitness regime and loved riding a specially made bicycle that helps to keep a person fit.

The best part about his leadership was that he was successful in turning SP’s anti-English and anti-computer image into a favourable light and stop giving tickets to candidates who have a previous criminal record.

It was for his Masters degree that Akhilesh went to Australia. Before that he went to Military School in Dholpur, Rajasthan and then a civil environment engineering degree from Mysore University.

However, it was when Akhilesh after returning from Sydney, was thinking to take up water pollution projects, his father, who was already then a three-times minister, drifted his line into politics. It was Akhilesh’s strategic electoral fight, 10,000 km yatra, 800 rallies spanning a period of over last six months, which played a pivotal role in annihilating Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) from power.

He had been only 27 years when entered the Lok Sabha and won Kannuaj in 2000. He has been the Kannauj MP ever since.

It was a phenomenal decision that generated a lot of hype when he denied entry to DP Yadav in the SP. He appeared at a meeting in Rampur with senior party leader Mohammad Azam Khan when Mulayam Singh Yadav gave the message that Akhilesh’s decision is final.

The credit of SP getting majority on 224 seats in the House of 403 can mostly be given by his party colleagues to Akhilesh, who had immense faith in youth power to annihilate BSP. However, after he is sworn in as the next CM of Uttar Pradesh on March 15, it remains to be seen whether he is able to fulfil all his promises – provide tablets and laptops to high school and intermediate pass outs, doling out un-employment allowance which would cause excessive burden to the state exchequer. Lawlessness is crucial issue that would have to be handled with an iron hand by the party in UP.

Educated – Uneducated

It is very easy to explain importance of education. No human beings are able to survive properly without education. By the means of education only one’s potential can be used to maximum extent. Education tells men how to think, how to work properly, how to make decision.Through educationonly one can make separate identity. It is most important in life like our basic need foods, clothe and shelter. With the beginning we learnt how to interact with others, how to make friends because of education only. As I remember when my parents had enrolled my name in school not only I learnt the alphabets and numbers but also I made friends, interacted with them with teachers.

With further development you were faced with the sense of competition and desire and other such emotions and feelings, you also learnt to control these emotions and feelings. And also teaches how to act in different situations. Education is not just restricted to teaching a person the basic academics, say computers, mathematics, geography or history education is a much larger term.

If you want to find out the impact of education on any individuality, you better do an intense observation to the ways of well-educated people and then compare them with an illiterate man. You would get a clear picture of the education and its accurate concept. Education is one of the important factors which formulate the persona of a person. Education is a productive and beneficial factor in a person’s life. It is everyone’s right to get. The training of a human mind is not complete without education. Only because of education a man are able to receive information from the external humanity, to notify him with past and receive all essential information concerning the present.

When one travels around the world, one observes to what an extraordinary degree human nature is the same, whether in India or Australia, London, Europe or America.
Conservative education makes independent thinking extremely complicated. If we are being educated merely to achieve distinction, to get a better job, to be more efficient, to have wider domination over others, then our lives will be shallow and empty. If we are being educated only to be scientists, to be scholars wedded to books, or specialists addicted to knowledge, then we shall be contributing to the destruction and misery of the world.

We may be highly educated, but if we are without meaningful combination of thought and feeling, our lives are incomplete and clashing. Education develops a meaningful outlook on life.

The individual are different but to accentuate the differences and to encourage the development of a definite type education is must.

Education is not just a matter of training the mind. Training makes for efficiency, but it does not bring about completeness. Knowledge and efficiency are necessary, which brings up by education.

Education should help us to discover lasting values; unfortunately, the present system of education is making us submissive, emotionless and deeply thoughtless.
Systems, whether educational or political, are not changed without explanation; they are transformed when there is a fundamental change in ourselves. The individual is of first importance, not the system; and as long as the individual does not understand the total process of himself, no system can bring order and peace to the world.

Incredible India,Incredible Indians

India as i know today as is home to 1.21 billion hearts pumping through the streets. It is the 2nd largest in population and 7th largest in economy in terms of nominal GDP and stands at no.87 on the corruption perception index. Corruption wise we are doing way better than Somalia and Chad but not nearly as well as Samoa or even closer home, Bhutan. Statistics don’t mean much to the layman, what matters is the quality of life that you and I lead on a day to day basis and above all the quality of life that the country is able to provide to the few hundreds of millions who live below the poverty line. Despite the per capita income now standing at a paltry Rs 46,492 there is still some cause for cheer. India is extremely affluent in terms of ordinary people she has birthed, who have set out to achieve stupendous results. For every thousand Indians, there may be one corrupt neta or one corrupt government babu but there are likely to be nine hundred and ninety nine Indians with well meaning intentions and who do not wish to see this country be popular for corruption and scams alone. These men and women are ordinary Indians with extraordinary thinking and striving to empower India.

Taj Mahal
A group of ex-IITians have come together to impart education to 450 school children in the remote village of Chamanapura in Bihar by starting a world-class facility. The methods involved in teaching are mainly via video conferencing, with the teachers spread out in different parts of India and some even as far as the United States. There is no electricity available as yet in this school and computers are run on generators. These IITians have metamorphosed the lives of 450 young Indians who are now computer savvy and are additionally the recipients of the best of knowledge in subjects ranging from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from the most erudite lot in the country.

Then there is one amongst the CNN heroes of 2010, Narayan Krishnan. Krishnan was a chef with a five star hotel and he was set to take up a lucrative job in Switzerland. He had made a trip to the temple town of Madurai in 2002 and was appalled to see a very old man eating his own human waste. A CNN report quoted Krishnan “I saw a very old man eating his own human waste for food. It really hurt me so much. I was literally shocked for a second. After that, I started feeding that man and decided this is what I should do the rest of my lifetime. That spark and that inspiration is a driving force still inside me as a flame, to serve all the mentally ill destitutes and people who cannot take care of themselves,” Completely agonized by the image, Krishnan quit his job and decided to stay back in India and pave his own path of destiny. Krishnan went on to start his non-profit Akshaya Trust in 2003. In the last few years, Krishnan has served 1.2 million meals to India’s homeless, some mentally challenged, some abandoned by families, some even mentally and physically abused.
On a lot smaller scale, Ahambhumika, a non-profit organization started in Bhopal by ordinary Indians. The organization’s core objective is to educate rural women and young girls who work as stone crushers and in brick kilns.  The “grain school” is a unique program that educates rural women in basic literacy. As an additional incentive, the organization provides grains and pulses to their families on a monthly basis. The children of these stone crushers are malnourished and invariably the families are shrouded in debts. The grain school is a wonderful initiative that empowers some twenty odd rural women to live respectfully by providing them with the required social conditioning as a first step to lead a civil life.www.ahambhumika.org

There are countless more in this society who do their bit quietly and stay demure about their achievements.Who define the Term Incredible India. These ordinary men and women are the real heroes of India, not the shirt-shedding, chest busting silver screen ones we whistle at. They give, they empower, and they enrich the lives of others with no ulterior motives. They are not after your vote, they do not make false promises and neither do they seek any financial leverage. They do what they believe they do best; to change the lives of others profoundly. In a society that births corruption and scams on a daily basis, there is also a new hero amongst us birthed daily. We constantly speak and preach about what the other should do, we rarely seek to bring about the change ourselves. Let the change begin in us now.

WHY CAN'T INDIA CREATE A FACEBOOK..???

Facebook filed to raise $5 billion in an initial public offering.

This news is freshly humming in the surrounding..,,because Fb(As people generally know) raised $5 billion in a highly anticipated IPO.

Who knew that  a Harvard psychology sophomore, who wrote “Facemash,” a website that asked users to judge students’ attractiveness based on their dorm-directory photos, would grow that BIG,even mark zuckerberg didn’t knew that…..

But the question is why a student from a country which is regarded as the one with the most grey cells cant create this huge.?Is it the middle class mindset ,or the bunch of corruption ,or is every intelligent Indian is attracted to $DOLLAR$.Whatever may be the reason ,but according to a survey India has the highest number of budding entrepreneurs .Yes america produces Steve Jobs,Richard Branson,Bill Gates and many others..,,,,BUT IN THE 80’s AND THE 90’s..Now what,,every American boy talks about films ,porn movies, and other useless stuff. The Recession has hit America badly and now only India and china are there to tackle the whole recession scenario.

India has faced all the brutality from outsiders.America or Britain hasn’t. we know how outsiders invade our house, and beat ourselves in our own houses. That’s why the Government didn’t create a liberalisation in India after Independence, due to fear of another attack(ppst..  East India Company also came for buissnes means ,and then due to jealousy invaded it).

But liberalism came to India in 1991,which was too late.Or today Reliance would have been a global company and Dhirubhai Ambani would have been a global icon.Everyone knows that the marketing views of Chankya are referred even today and applicable in today’s scenario, and 40% of sillicon valley comprises of IITians and IIMites.

But this the story Indians don’t love india.Indians feel pride in bill gates but not in Narayan Murthy, not in J.R.D Tata….they fell happy when Obama gets elected as president but 27% dont even know who is our prime minister or president.NOW THAT’s NOT A WAY TO BECOME A BUDDING SO CALLED “””SUPERPOWER”””…

If you are an indian feel proud bro..,,,one day will come when an american will talk in hindi ,and say काश अमेरिका भारत जैसा होता

BTW do you know,Sanskrit is considered as the mother of all higher languages. This is because it is the most precise, and therefore suitable language for computer software. ( a report in Forbes magazine, July 1987 ).
